Born and raised in New England I have always been driven by my curiosity. I have come to accept the fact that I am someone who will never be fully satisfied by one thing; it is the act of learning, discovering, and stepping into the unknown that excites me. I continually ask myself what I want to be when I grow up, and each time I have a new answer. My curiosity has led me to live in 7 different countries on 4 different continents. I am learning how to channel my curiosity into being an agent of impact, participating in projects bringing positive change to communities around the globe.
I find inspiration through connecting with passionate individuals and engaging in meaningful conversation. I am driven by my incessant positivity and my belief that you can find beauty in anything. Art is my meditation, bringing my focus outside of my mind and into my hands. Calming, restorative, and expressive, art has always been a part of my life and has helped ground me during times of change and challenge. I find the process of turning an idea into a reality extremely empowering.
An avid reader, I always have multiple books piled on my bedside table. I love the act of learning and am constantly exploring new subjects and concepts. I graduated from Bates College with a double major in Philosophy and Art, combining my love of dissecting complex ideas with my passion for creative expression. Education has been the correlating factor in my career. Be it teaching Art in a Shanghai classroom, or fostering conversation between American high school students and Burmese refugees in Thailand, I have witnessed education open eyes, open hearts, and open doors. I believe education to be the most powerful tool for change. Through education you are providing the potential for growth, development, and opportunity.
I currently call San Francisco my home.
